Getting startedScore a free guest match (Quick Play)
Open Quick Play from the homepage or go to /play (use /play?sport=padel for padel). Choose singles or doubles, enter free-text names, pick best-of one/three/five, and optionally enable no-ad, a final-set match tiebreak, and a coin toss for first server. Live scoring uses the same LED board and point pills as club Start match. Guest scores stay on this device only and are not saved to a club. After a small number of guest matches, create a free workspace to keep statistics, rankings, and match history.

Open Rules of Tennis from the homepage or go to /rules for a practical on-court summary of points, games, sets, tiebreaks, serving, no-ad scoring, and match categories. The page is a club-friendly guide for scoring—not a substitute for the full ITF Rules of Tennis. Use Quick Play afterward to try the scorer without an account.

Open Matches, start a match, choose a category (men’s, ladies’, mixed, divers, or friendly), select eligible players, then set the server and format. Award each point from the court-side scoreboard. The server validates every transition. Undo restores the exact previous state and remains visible in the audit trail. Competitive completed matches count toward statistics; friendly matches are for live scoring only and do not affect saved stats. Optional voice score announcements (iPhone Safari or Add to Home Screen) speak each point, game, set, and match when enabled at start—tap the scoreboard once to unlock speech on iOS, use the toolbar speaker and F/M voice buttons to mute or switch voice, and keep the screen awake during long sessions. Silent mode behavior varies; raise volume if calls are quiet.

Very early release — not officially supported on Apple Watch / watchOS. Enable watch scoring under Organization, start a match, then open the watch handoff (QR or /watch/… link). The default Standard layout shows sets and games at the top, point scores in the centre, and large +1 / undo / redo controls at the bottom; an Advanced layout is planned. Optional serve time limits (ITF-style, off by default) can be enabled when starting a tennis match: a countdown runs between points, and the phone scorer records warnings before any point penalty. The server remains authoritative. No native watch app — web browser only. Support and layout vary by device; expect rough edges. Long names truncate; on round faces keep controls in the safe area. Sponsor ads never appear on the live watch scorer.

Competitive categories cover men’s and ladies’ singles/doubles, mixed doubles, and divers singles/doubles. When you start a match, the player lists filter by gender so only eligible athletes appear. Friendly singles and doubles allow any players to be scored together for fun or practice without changing rankings or statistics. Events, seasons, and ladders use the same category list.

Choose Friendly Singles or Friendly Doubles when you want live scoring without affecting club statistics. Any genders can play. Friendlies still use the full tennis scorer (points, games, sets, undo), but completed friendlies are excluded from player statistics and do not lock divers eligibility policy.

Choose best-of one, three, or five sets; regular or no-ad games; standard, short, or pro sets; and an optional deciding match tiebreak. The readable format summary appears before play begins. The same format options are available in Quick Play for guests and in club Matches for saved results.

Players may exist without accounts. Add gender (male, female, or divers), availability, and tennis identifiers; keep contact details private; and later link the profile safely. Group and club owners who are not yet on the roster can use Add myself as a player (platform administrators cannot). Persistent and event-only partnerships support doubles play. You can deactivate a player without wiping match history, reactivate inactive profiles, or permanently delete a roster entry when appropriate.

When you add a player with an email address, Tennis Unlimited can send an accept invitation. On accept, new accounts receive a welcome email with club rules and a temporary password. The same login can later be used to request access to other organizations. Invitation registration joins only the inviting club and does not grant ownership.

By default, divers compete in their own divers singles and doubles categories. Under Organization, owners can switch to open eligibility so divers may also appear in men’s, ladies’, and mixed lists. That setting locks after the first completed competitive (non-friendly) match result, so category rules cannot be rewritten mid-season. Organization shows a clear warning before the lock applies.

Record surface, indoor status, lighting, availability, and maintenance. A court or participant cannot be assigned to two active matches. Courts are optional for groups (handy as match location labels). Clubs can optionally enable court booking from Courts (also offered when registering a new organization) so members can reserve available courts according to organization settings.

Turn on court booking from the Courts area (or during organization registration) when your club wants members to reserve courts. Bookings show as reserved times without naming who booked them; only you see “Your booking” for your own slots, and you get a confirmation email with a calendar (.ics) invite. Booking sits alongside court availability and maintenance so a court under maintenance or already in an active match is not double-booked for play.

Create an event with the right match category, configure registration and capacity, confirm a seeded draw, check players in, assign courts, and operate the order of play from the Command Centre. Public events can publish a page and TV/projector display mode; venue check-in supports QR codes when enabled.

Create singles or doubles divisions using the club match categories, generate one-way or home-and-away fixtures, configure table points, and publish fixtures, results, and completed archives. Public seasons can appear on a shareable page when the organization opts in.

Set the competitive category, challenge range (how many places above you may be challenged—default 3), deadline, and whether each side may defer the date once. Propose a challenge with a required date; opponents in the picker are limited to the allowed range. The challenged side is emailed the date and rules, can accept/decline/defer, and after accept both sides receive a calendar (.ics) invite. Link a completed match of the same category for automatic movement. Public Rules of Ladders: /rules/ladders.

Open Calendar under Organization, Club, or League management for a shared month view of court bookings (when enabled), events (with start/end), league fixtures that have a scheduled time, and ladder challenges with a proposed date. Filter by type and select a day for details. Tournament managers set event dates when creating an event or from the event’s Save calendar dates form. Organizations can use the calendar without setting up courts.

Opt in to the public directory and complete location, court, coaching, accessibility, and membership details. Private contacts and staff notes never appear publicly. Guests can discover clubs from the homepage Find clubs link, then request to join for owner review.

Upload your organization logo and banner from Organization (Club feature; Free shows the yellow Tennis Unlimited ball). The logo appears in the sidebar, org chip, and mobile header. Platform Administrators separately manage the website logo and optional login background video shown on the public homepage—those are platform settings, not your club logo.

Early Access unlocks all features. Free keeps the yellow Tennis Unlimited logo; Club adds custom logo, banner, colours, Members, Courts, exports, and detailed statistics (managed under Organization for branding). After Early Access ends, an eligible Free-license owner may start one non-renewing 30-day Club trial. Expiry safely returns entitlements to Free while preserving every record.

During Early Access every feature is unlocked even if your lasting license is Free. Features marked Club (branding, Members, Courts, exports, detailed statistics) are blocked when Early Access ends unless you upgrade to Club/Venue or start the one-time Club trial. Your data and uploaded artwork stay saved.

Player statistics, form, and head-to-head views are derived from saved competitive match records. Friendly Quick Play guest matches and club friendly matches do not feed those numbers. Searchable match history still helps you find completed results from your organization.

Open Support from the sidebar or Help Centre. Describe what happened, choose a category and priority, optionally add a page link and troubleshooting details, and attach up to three PNG, JPEG or WEBP screenshots. Files are checked for type, extension, signature and size before secure server-to-server forwarding. Public Help and Support routes are also available without logging in.
